What can you tell me about the major project in the Lanes Ferry area of Rocky Point?

Bill Walsh

That is probably the Lanes Ferry Landing project, according to Pender County Planning Director Kyle Breuer, though nothing has happened on that massive mixed-use development since it earned approval from the county commissioners in June of last year.

At buildout, the approximately 1,000-acre tract could have up to 2,114 single-family homes, 456 town homes, and 125 multi-family units. About 38 acres would house nonresidential uses, including a mixture of retail, full- and limited-service restaurants, and a marina.
