Does the UNCW, CFCC or BCC campus offer a food pantry for needy students?

Melisa Riley

UNCW does not have a food pantry on campus, according to a university spokesperson, but it maintains a comprehensive list of community resources for students at www.uncw.edu/perch/resources/wilmington.html.

According to Sonya Johnson, a marketing and public relations specialist at Cape Fear Community College, the CFCC campus does not have a food pantry but students can access help through counseling services located on the downtown and north campuses. Students are referred to resources according to their needs in Pender, Brunswick, Columbus and New Hanover counties, Johnson said.

According to London Schmidt, director of public relations and marketing at Brunswick County Community College, there is a food pantry on the BCC campus that can be accessed through student services. It is accepting food donations.
