Will CSX improve the railroad crossings at Mount Misery Road and Lackey Road?

Ken Little

Q. The railroad tracks at Mt. Misery Road and Lackey Road are in poor condition. CSX graded the road at the tracks but never corrected the problem. When are they going to address the poor condition in that area?

A. The CSX engineering department “has surface maintenance planned for these crossings in the fall,” CSX spokeswoman Carla Groleau said.

More specific details on the work in the Leland area will be available in upcoming weeks, Groleau said.

Who is responsible for maintaining the railroad crossings at Colonial and Forest Hills drives?

Who owns the old railroad bridge on the Northeast Cape Fear River? Will it ever be taken down?
