Why was a vehicle parked on my street with blue and yellow flashing lights last night?

Brian Freskos

Q. Last night about 3:30 am a car or truck parked at the end of our street in Clearbrook Estates with blue and yellow flashing lights. It was there for about an hour and occasionally a whop whop siren sound was heard. Do you know what they were doing?

A. MyReporter can’t really figure this one out. Since the submitter of this question said the siren made a whop whop sound, we assumed it would have been an emergency vehicle like a police car. But Lynn Lancaster, administrative support specialist for New Hanover County’s 911 dispatch center, said she did not find a record of an incident occurring in that area at that date and time.

Why do they keep flying that police helicopter over my neighborhood?

How do I give anonymous tips to police?
