What were they doing to the roads in Castle Hayne on June 28, 2012?

Ashley Hanners

According to the N.C. Department of Transportation, mill patching was taking place on U.S. 117/N.C. 133/N.C. 132 on Thursday, June 28. Mill patching is a process in which workers grind off existing asphalt approximately two inches deep and replace it with new asphalt.

NCDOT said that there were multiple projects going on within the Castle Hayne area on this particular day. If this question was not referring to the work being done on US 117/NC 133/NC 132, please contact NCDOT Public Information Officer Tammy Stewart, (919) 707-2660.
