Why don’t they fix uneven pavement on 2 small bridges on U.S. 74/76 near the Memorial Bridge?

Ken Little

Here’s the whole question: “Why don’t they fix the uneven pavement on the two small bridges in the west bound lanes on U.S. 74/76 between the Memorial Bridge and the Leland exit?  The transition between the concrete bridge and the pavement is about 2-3 inches and is a horrible bump.”

And here’s the answer: The N.C. Department of Transportation plans a “temporary repair” at the location, spokeswoman Tammy Stewart said.

“The repair was scheduled to take place last week, but due to weather, the work was postponed. Crews are hoping to repair it this weekend if scheduling permits,” Stewart said.
