How were Mishoe Road and Shearin Hills Drive in Castle Hayne named?

Road sign

Some roads in Castle Hayne were named after families who originally owned the land.

According to the New Hanover County Register of Deeds listing of real estate transactions, the land around these two Castle Hayne streets were owned by the Mishoe and Shearin families, respectively. Once the land was sold to developers, the newly created streets were named after the families that originally owned the land.
