What happened to Dr. Mark Tracy, the former principal at Alderman Elementary?

In April, the Wake County Public School System announced it had hired Mark Tracy to lead Wilburn Renaissance Elementary School, a year round school in Raleigh. He was principal of Alderman Elementary School in Wilmington since 2007 and was part of the first group of students to receive a doctorate in education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2010.
