How many ‘public-private’ groups receive funds from the city, and how much do they receive?

Here’s a rundown of fiscal year 2010-11 funding from the city of Wilmington for some agencies, with FY 2009-10 figures in parenthesis:

  • Wilmington Downtown Inc. – $60,979 ($80,979).
  • Cape Fear Future – $20,000 (Cape Fear Future CDC/$23,750).
  • Wilmington Industrial Development – $80,496 ($80,496).
  • Wilmington Regional Film Commission – $109,869 ($109,869).
