Are there local women’s business groups in Wilmington that I can join when I move to the area?

The Cape Fear Marbella Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association meets at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of the month at McAlister’s Deli, 740 S. College Road. It’s open to all women: working, unemployed or retired. For more information, call (910) 791-9073 or log on to www.abwa.org.

Island Women in Business, a division of Island Women, is a relatively new group that offers networking opportunities and events for women who live, work or play on Pleasure Island, which includes Carolina and Kure beaches.
