Why is there a new signal light at I-40 exit 408 and N.C. 210 in Rocky Point?

Ken Little

“The signal at Exit 408 and Rocky Point was put in due to traffic backing up into I-40 during peak hours,” says N.C. Department of Transportation Division Engineer Joe Chance.

The new signal allows exit traffic to flow onto N.C. 210 “without causing potential accidents and backups,” Chance explains.
