Are there any Jewish delis in Wilmington or surrounding areas?

Judy Royal

There are not any Jewish delis that I am aware of, but there is a place you can buy some Jewish foods. Chabad of Wilmington, the Orthodox Jewish center at 2714 Market St., offers kosher meat products and freshly baked Challah.

The NY Corner Deli in Surf City is the closest thing….even though it’s far from being Jewish. There is no place around town that is remotely close to a place like Carnegie.
NY Corner Deli does have real corned beef, though. No Boars Head Corned Beef there. They also have all the Dr. Brown’s flavors we love.

I can tell you that the everything bagels at The Bagel Basket are better than almost any I’ve ever found in Manhattan.

Just want to point out that not everything that is “Jewish” style is Kosher. The places mentioned might taste like the deli’s back in NY but they are certainly not Kosher.

The New York Corner Deli in Surf City is great for Jerwish deli food, along with gelato, cannolis, etc. Has the best bagels and lox platter for $9, pastrami sandwiches, half sour pickles, etc. etc. Worth the drive.
