When Kate Gosselin of “Jon & Kate plus Eight” and her children vacationed on Bald Head Island without Jon in May and June, they rented the Chirico House at 6 Peppervine Trail, Bald Head Island [Map this], according to the agency that makes reservations for the home.

The family reserved the six-bedroom home for a week, but ended up staying more nights because they enjoyed it so much, according to Bald Head Island Reservations.

The 2009 Armchair Guide for Bald Head Island says the home rents for as much $12,032 a week during the most popular summer weeks.

During their stay, island residents and visitors spotted Kate, whose picture has been splashed across the front of magazines and tabloids for months after her marriage woes and her impending divorce from Jon came to light, on the beach along with her 8-year-old twin girls and 5-year-old sextuplets.

The Gosselin entourage, seen with camera crews in tow, also visited downtown Wilmington, taking a carriage tour and dining at Elijah’s restaurant. Additionally, the group toured the Battleship North Carolina. Kate also got her band of eight haircuts at John Robert’s Hair Design, 17 Market Street across from Kilwin’s, the ice cream shop they visited as well.

who cares. These people have done nothing of note in their lives other than allow cameras to intrude on their childrens lives . It is a shame celebrity is now afforded to shallow , sociopathic parents that have no idea how this will effect their children in the long run.
