Old Carolina Bagel Bakery

No plans have been submitted to the city for development of the former Carolina Bagel Bakery building, 4607 Oleander Drive, Wilmington [Map this], according to Jamison Fair, city senior planner.

There are no code violations on the building, according to Williane Carr, the city’s chief code enforcement officer.

The owner of the property is HDI Holdings LLC, according to New Hanover County tax records. HDI, whose address is 5929 Market St., Wilmington [Map this], acquired the property in 2004 for $275,000 from Holiday Delta Inc., described on incorporation papers as an accommodation and food concern. Robert W. Huth is agent for both entities, according to state records.

A permit for repair for $80,000 was issued March 31, 2009, according to tax records.

The property was appraised at $214,878 in 2010 – $53,728 for the structure, built in 1961, and $161,150 for the land, according to tax records.
