Is the Brady’s Green bar and restaurant in Leland going to open?

Call it a sign of the times. Brady’s Green Irish Pub & Grill was set to open at 477 Olde Waterford Way, Leland [Map this], at The Village Shoppes in Waterford, but the owner ran into financial problems and had to abandon the plan, said Bert Exum, Waterford’s developer. The space, which is about 85 percent complete, is now available for lease from Don Harley of Harley & Associates Commercial Real Estate, he said. It will likely open under a different name, Exum added.

How I hate to hear this!…This is exactly the kind of eatery we would LOVE to see come to Leland!!!!…Our choices are very limited in this area, and quite frankly, my husband and I are anxiously awaiting some additional ones!…Is it too much to ask for to have a K-38, Outback, Ruby Tuesdays, or something along those same lines?…..Please someone open this space!

I agree! My husband & I moved to Leland a few years ago & were so excited to have a “mom & pop” type pub! I wouldn’t really want to see another chain restaurant—just my opinion. I’d rather it be locally owned & operated & just something different!

You just put K38 in the same catagory as outback and ruby tuesday? How about a red lobster while we are at it…

I would love a restaurant that includes lots of salads and vegetarian/ middle eastern type foods. Leland has so many fast food places. This would be a nice alternative.

    Elaine,

You might try the Black Sea Grill downtown for the sort of food you prefer. Nice place, not a chain, and locally owned and managed.
