Is kayaking or canoeing allowed at Orton Pond?

Amy Hotz
StarNews

According to David Sprunt, kayaking and canoeing on Orton Pond is not possible. It is still a private pond and is not open to the public.

Sprunt managed Orton Plantation before it was bought in the spring of 2010 by Louis Moore Bacon. His family also previously owned the property.

Can I dam up Smith Creek and claim it all as my private creek? By the way, try to kayak Orton and you will be arrested, with Brunswick Sherrif, Wildlife Officer, and Orton lackeys responding…
