“The large area that has been cleared and currently has site work in progress is for a Lowe’s Home Center store,” says Linda Painter, local permit officer with the New Hanover County Planning and Zoning Department.
Plans have been submitted “to start site work on the outparcels, which show five buildings that are labeled as either retail or restaurant,” she adds.
The names of those businesses have not been specified yet, Painter says.
