John Gizdic, New Hanover Regional’s vice president of strategic planning and business development, said work is being done on the inside the new facility now that the building is up near the Brunswick Forest subdivision off Hwy. 17.
Gizdic said the facility is scheduled to open by the end of the year. The plan had been to open in the fall – originally in October or November — but now is being pushed back to November or December.
He said some of the providers who will work at the NHRMC Health and Diagnostic Services at Brunswick Forest already have been decided, including an agreement with Atlantic Orthopedics. Other leases are currently being finalized and will be announced in the coming weeks, Gizdic said.
Some of the other services at the center will include urology and imaging.
