There are a couple of things.

At 6007 Greenville Loop Rd., Fasse Construction is building the 14-home Tonbow Meadow development on three acres.

Also, a half-mile sidewalk project is under way along Greenville Loop Road, according to the city.

When complete late this summer, the sidewalk will connect Bradley Creek Elementary School to the Greenville Village Community to create a safer walking route for students and parents, said city spokeswoman Malissa Talbert.

Traffic impacts should be minimal. However, there will be delays when actual construction begins, which will include occasional lane closures. But these will not occur during peak hours, she said.

The project is partially funded by a $211,000 federal “Safe Routes to Schools” grant, with another $153,000 in matching funds provided by the city, Talbert said.
