Q. Is the state going to pave Highway 133 from Leland south to Southport? The road is in bad shape.

A. N.C. 133 from just north of Belville Elementary School to Daws Creek Road is scheduled for widening and resurfacing, said Anthony Law, an N.C. Department of Transportation district engineer.

“The contract this route has been placed in is combined with resurfacing of several routes within Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender counties and is scheduled for completion by June 28, 2014,” Law said.

Wait what… could you define widening? Are lanes being added or just a larger paved shoulder?
