Q. What ever became of this meth lab case?

A. Mark Levi, 24, entered a guilty plea on August 23, 2012, more than a year after investigators found a meth lab hidden in the woods near the University Centre shopping area.

Wilmington Police Department investigators found the mobile meth lab in a patch of woods in the 100 block of Dapple Court in April 2011. Levi was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, maintaining a residence for drugs, four counts of possessing methamphetamine precursors and driving during revocation.

He pled guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor maintaining a dwelling, according to law enforcement officials. His other charges were suspended under a “Prayer for Judgment,” until he testifies against his co-defendants and pays a “portion of the restitution for collection and cleanup”, the New Hanover County District Attorney’s Office said.

The names of his co-defendants were not released.
