Q. Why is there always a problem with the sound quality on WWAY TV’s RTV channel 3.2? The sound is either distorted, too low, or only broadcast on one channel. The problem exists over the air and on cable. Can’t they correct the problem, as it has been going on for months.
A. “Since our audio and video is monitored 24/7 and we are not experiencing any technical issues, it sounds to me like this is an issue on the viewer’s end,” said Andy Combs, WWAY general manager.
“If you would pass along our contact information, we will gladly put (the reader) in touch with our engineer, who might be able to help him track down the problem,” Combs said.
The chief engineer at WWAY is Billy Stratton. His work email address is bstratton@wwaytv3.com.

Evidently the engineers at WWAY don’t listen too good. Right now (Tuesday) the sound on WWAY’s 3.2 channel is only coming out of the left channel if you have a stereo television. I tried all the TV’s in my house, those on antennas over the air and the one on cable and it is all the same (no sound on their right channel). If you have a mono TV you won’t notice their problem, but if your TV is stereo, then they have a problem. Don’t think they care about it , but it bugs me. Please fix it.!!
This is not on the viewer’s end. The sound is too low. We use TWC, digital box; through a sound system. Must increase the volume control a lot when on the WWAY station. No other stations/channels have this problem.
As of Thursday Feb. 28, the engineers at channel 3 have still not corrected the problem. The sound on WWAY 3.2 (the RTV channel) is still just on the left channel and low.
Numerous attempts at contacting them have gone unawsered. It would be great if they would fix it as I enjoy watching the channel . The problem is not on the viewers end.
