Brunswick County has two different patrol car color schemes.
One patrol car color is white and red and the other is black and gold, said Capt. Mose Highsmith.
The markings are a result of color schemes adopted by different sheriffs. Sheriff John Ingram adopted the black and gold scheme, and it is not cost effective to repaint all the old cars, so that’s why there are two color schemes, Highsmith said.

Thank you Sheriff Ingram for not wasting taxpayer dollars. The color scheme doesn’t effect how our law enforcement officers do their job.
