Q. Recently state Sen. Thom Goolsby hosted a radio show for a week, talking to constituents on the air. Was he paid by the radio station?
A. From Sen. Thom Goolsby, R-New Hanover: “I was asked by the host of the local show to fill in for two days. So far, no one has offered to pay me anything for my appearance. However, if anyone was overwhelmed with my wit and charm, they can feel free to write a check to my campaign!”

Why shouldn’t he get paid? I wonder if the person asking the question would work two day for nothing.
