Looks like the city is on par with initial projections.
According to Dylan Lee of the City of Wilmington Communications Office, “So far, the design and engineering is complete, and is within budget. The city will be seeking State Stormwater and Erosion Control permits in December; and we expect to go to bid for a contractor in early 2013. The project should be complete by the end of 2013.”
Lee said the Inland Greens Project involves “extensive stormwater improvements on the city-owned Inland Greens golf course and Wiregrass Road, a public facility, as well as design and construction of a park and a 9-hole, par-3 golf course.”
The total cost of the project is $1.95 million. The total includes land purchase, extensive stormwater improvements, and park/golf construction. Lee said, to date, a $210,000 consulting contract for engineering, design and construction administration of the stormwater, park and golf improvements has been executed.
