The construction taking shape in the corner of Oleander Place, 3804 Oleander Drive, will soon be Chipotle Mexican Grill, said Charlotte-based Thurman Brooks, who is handling leasing for the shopping center. The 2,400-square-foot outparcel building, which will also have an outdoor patio, should be ready and open for business by early January, he said Thursday.
Colorado-based Chipotle was founded in 1993 and now operates more than 1,250 restaurants with N.C. locations in Fayetteville, Charlotte, the Triangle and Triad areas. The menu features burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, salads and a children’s menu. Chipotle prides itself on sustainable ingredients; earlier this year, for example, the chain announced that the sour cream served in its restaurants would come from pasture-raised, hormone-free cows.
