Do you know which area restaurants will be serving Thanksgiving dinner 2012?

For those who want to forgo long hours in the kitchen and instead leave the cooking to the professionals, several Cape Fear area restaurants are open for the holiday. Here is a list of several choices.

Atlantic Seafood & Steak (5059 Southport-Supply Road SE in Southport) is open 11 a.m.-3 p.m. with a regular menu and a Thanksgiving plate special for $9.95. Call 457-4477 for more information.

The Blockade Runner Resort & Hotel (275 Waynick Blvd. in Wrightsville Beach) offers a buffet for the holiday 11:30 a.m. -3 p.m. Price is $45 adults, $18 for those under 13, and free for kids 3 and younger. Call 256-2251 for reservations, or for information about hotel packages that include the buffet.

Bluewater Grill (4 Marina St., in Wrightsville Beach) hosts a Thanksgiving buffet 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Price: $24.99 for adults, $11.99 ages 12 and under. Reservations recommended. Call 256-8500.

Bridge Tender (1414 Airlie Road near Wrightsville Beach) serves a four-course meal with an choice of options, including the chance to upgrade turkey or ham to prime rib for an additional cost. Price is $21.99 for adults and $11.99 for children from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Details and reservations: 256-4519.

Carolina BBQ is open for the holiday serving their buffet with traditional additions from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 2703 N. College Road (392-1955) and 1602 S. College Road (799-3464) in Wilmington. Cost is $9.99 (adult), $8.99 (seniors) and $4.99 (ages 3-10).

Casey’s Buffet, Barbecue & Home Cookin’ at 5559 Oleander Drive in Wilmington is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Cost is $12.95 (adults), $11.89 (seniors), $6.94 (kids 4-12) and free for those under 4. Drinks are an additional charge. Details: 798-2913.

College Diner (911 S. College Road in Wilmington) is open 24 hours, seven days a week, including on Thanksgiving. In addition to their regular menu, they’ll have a holiday plate with turkey and the trimmings. Details: 793-0991.

Derbsters Restaurant (10101 Beach Drive SW in Calabash) is once again serving a holiday buffet, as they’ve done for the past 22 years. Hours are noon-7 p.m. Price is $16.95 for adults, $6.95 for children 6-12 and free for 5 and under. Call 579-6228.

Eddie Romanelli’s in Leland (503 Olde Waterford Way) is hosting a buffet from noon until 7 p.m. It’s $14.99 (adults), $6.99 (kids 5-12) and free (5 and under). Reservations are recommended; call 383-1885.

Front Street Brewery (9 N. Front St.) is also open and will be serving a holiday plate with the classic components for $7.99 all day. Hours are 11:30 a.m.-midnight. Details: 251-1935.

At Golden Corral, managers say that Thanksgiving is one of the busiest of the year. Locations at 5211 S. College Road (392-7777, open at 10:30 a.m.), 5130 New Centre Dr. (392-1984, open at 11 a.m.) and 4690 East Coast Lane in Shallotte (754-8100, open at 10:45 a.m.) are serving turkey and the trimmings, including the traditional casseroles. They close at 8 p.m. Cost is $12.99 adults. At some locations there is also a senior discount. Pricing for children’s meals is tiered.

Henry’s (2508 Independence Blvd. in Wilmington) is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. There’s a full dinner menu all day, as well as several holiday specials such as turkey and roast pork plates. For reservations, call 793-2929.

Hilton Wilmington Riverside (301 N. Water St. in Wilmington) has seatings for the holiday buffet available at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Price is $29.95 (adults), $19.95 (seniors), $9.95 (kids 5-11) and free for those under 5. Call 763-5900 for reservations.

The buffet at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort (1706 N. Lumina Ave in Wrightsville Beach) is already filling up, but there may be some openings for the noon seating. Cost is $38.95 for adults, $18.95 (ages 7-12) and free for 6 and younger. Call 256-2231 for reservations.

Harbor Masters Restaurant (315 Canal Dr. in Carolina Beach) is open and will begin serving $9.95 turkey dinners beginning at 11 a.m. They close at 2 a.m. Details: 458-2800.

Hoplite Pub (720 N. Lake Park Blvd. in Carolina Beach) is open at 1 p.m. and will be serving turkey plates. Call 458-4745 for more information.

Hops Supply Co. (5400 Oleander Dr. in Wilmington) offers their full menu 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and also has traditional holiday specials. Details: 833-8867.

K&W Cafeteria (3501 Oleander Drive in Wilmington) is open regular hours for the holiday. After breakfast, at about 11 a.m., they have their Thanksgiving special for $6.99, which includes a full meal. They close at 8 p.m. and serve on a first-come, first-served basis. Carryout plates are available, as well. Details: 762-7011.

KickBack Jack’s (418 S. College Road in Wilmington) is open noon-2 a.m. and will serve a turkey dinner for $9.99. Call 523-5669.

Marlin & Rays (11 Van Campen Blvd. in Wilmington) promises lots of specials on Thanksgiving, which also happens to be “Holy Shrimp” Thursday , where you can get 30 shrimp for $14.99. They’re open noon-8 p.m. Details 792-9273.

Oceanic (703 South Lumina Ave. in Wrightsville Beach) is open noon-8 p.m. with a full lunch and dinner menu. There will also be a “giant” turkey plate special available for around $22. Details and reservations: 256-5551.

The Pilot House in downtown Wilmington (2 Ann St.) is serving a four-course holiday meal that includes appetizer, soup or salad, entrée and dessert for $26.95. Hours are 11a.m. -8 p.m. Call 343-0200 for details and reservations.

Port City Java stores in Wilmington will be open until noon on Thanksgiving. Details: www.portcityjava.com.

The Pub/Sweet & Savory Café has a few holiday options. There’s a dine-in meal planned at Sweet & Savory (1611 Pavilion Place near Wrightsville Beach, 256-0115), with seatings available from 11:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. The meal, with turkey, ham, casseroles, cornbread stuffing, and desserts like Caribbean fudge pie, are served family style. It’s $19.99 for adults, $9.99 for kids 4-11 and free for those under 4. Reservations are required. Also, The Pub (2012 Eastwood Road, 679-8101) will serve a Thanksgiving Day brunch (and one on Thanksgiving Eve) from 9 a.m.-noon.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House (301 North Water St. in the Hilton Wilmington Riverside) has a regular menu, as well as a three-course Thanksgiving meal available for $37.95 from noon to 7 p.m. Details and reservations: 343-1818.

Whole Foods Market Wilmington (3804 Oleander Dr.) serves up holiday fare and is open for last-minute purchases from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Details: 777-2499.
