There are no set hours for trick or treating. In MyReporter’s experience, it usually starts about an hour or so before sundown, which is at 6:19 p.m. this Hallow’s Eve, and lasts until about 8 or 8:30. By 8:30, or when the candy runs out, you are permitted to turn off the porchlight.
