The project to provide free wifi Internet access in the Youth Enrichment Zone in the Northside area near downtown is still ongoing.

The next step in the process is for Tufanna Thomas, strategic director for the Blue Ribbon Commission on Youth Violence, to submit suggested sites in the YEZ that she believes to be access sites. Thomas said the primary site would be DC Virgo.

“The city and county are working together on it and it looks like some, but not all of the YEZ will be covered,” she said.
