Is there a place to pick grapes in this area?

There are two places in the area to pick your own grapes, one in Brunswick County and the other in Pender County.

In Brunswick:

Silver Coast Winery, 6680 Barbeque Road, Ocean Isle Beach [Map this], NC 28469, (910) 287-2800.

Silver Coast Winery allows the public to pick grapes from their Muscadine vineyard starting September 1. The cost is $1 per pound, and you have to bring your own container.

Bannerman Vineyard, 2624 Stag Park Road, Burgaw [Map this], NC 28425, (910) 259-5474

Bannerman Vineyard is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. They charge $1.25 per pound to pick your own, or you can purchase already picked for $1.50 per pound.
