In theory, either (or both) companies could extend cable television to any section of Pender County.
However, that’s not economically sound, said Keith Poston, director of communications for Time Warner Cable.
Poston said Time Warner bases expansion on a model that relies partially on population density. Essentially, if the cable companies can make get a return on investment for expanding the cable grid, they will do so.
