The seasonal amusement park that has become a familiar backdrop along the Carolina Beach Boardwalk is back for a fourth year.

The amusement park had a soft opening a few days before Memorial Day, and was completely up and running by the holiday weekend, said Greg Reynolds, assistant director of the Carolina Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Florida-based amusement park operator Robert Megerle is responsible for most of the carnival’s operations, while Hildebrand Rides, Inc. owns most of the amusement rides, Reynolds said.

The park will be open through Labor Day, but could extend its hours if crowds are good, he said.

Amusement ride hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.

Exact ticket prices weren’t immediately available, but visitors can buy day-pass wristbands or individual tickets. Each ride typically costs between four and six tickets. On Wednesdays, visitors can buy one wristband and get one free.
