What is the name of the empty school off N.C. 210 outside of Currie?

The school is Canetuck Rosenwald. It was built around the 1921-22 era and was one of the original now-historic Rosenwald schools to educate African-American children in Pender County. Today, it is known as the Canetuck Community Senior Center.

The empty one-room Currie Rosenwald school on NC 210 near Hwy. 421 is NOT the same building as the Canetuck Community Center. The Canetuck Community Senior Center (CCSC) is housed in the former two-room Canetuck Rosenwald school on Canetuck Road. The CCSC building recently underwent an exterior restoration made possible by the Lowe’s Fund and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. It is in active use as a community center. We are raising funds for interior restoration and a new kitchen; please see http://www.underthekudzu.org for more information.
