Where are the houses that were featured in the pilot for the ABC TV series ‘Revenge?’

This is the official word from ABC:

“For security purposes, we can’t reveal the exact locations of the homes. Most of the exterior shots were done in Wilmington, N.C., with a few in the actual Hamptons. The pilot was shot in Wilmington. The interiors are shot on a set … in the L.A. area.”

A blog post I ran across indicates the house portrayed as Emily’s in the pilot (interior and exterior) is in Southport. It also says the Grayson mansion interiors seen in the pilot are of a house in Landfall, while the exteriors shown throughout the series are of a house in the Hamptons, but likely altered to make it appear larger. You’ll get more detail in the comments below the main post.
