The North 3rd Street improvement project was awarded by the Wilmington City Council on June 7, 2011, to Sealand Contractors of Charlotte, N.C., city spokeswoman Malissa Talbert said.
In compliance with state purchasing laws, the bid was awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, Talbert said.
More information about the award can be accessed on the city’s website at wilmingtonnc.gov under the “Meeting Minutes and Video Archive” link on the front page.
“Agenda materials and videos can be viewed on this page for each City Council meeting,” Talbert said.
