Why doesn’t Myrtle Grove Middle School fly an American flag?

Amanda Greene

Myrtle Grove flag

A photo from the Myrtle Grove Middle School website shows an American flag flying in front of the school.

We got this response from Myrtle Grove Middle School Principal Robin Meiers: “We fly the American flag every school day. It flies on its own pole while the NC flag and an air quality flag fly on the other.”

If you drive by the school at 901 Piner Road, Wilmington [Map this], or take a look at the school’s website, you can see the flag.
