What can you tell me about the theater planned for the corner of Dock and 10th?

The applicants want to build a legitimate theater on the site and are working with city of Wilmington planing staff, though they have yet to file a plan, said Wilmington Planning Manager Ron Satterfield. “We do anticipate plans to be submitted in the next two to five business days,” he said on May 20, 2011.

Staff and the applicants – a sign on the lot reads “Coming soon Theater Now” – are still working out details on whether the site may need to be rezoned, Satterfield said.

Legitimate theater is a term used to refer to performance spaces for serious full-length plays.
