Are any organizations still collecting clothes and household items for Florence victims?

Not clothing as far as we could tell, but household items are still needed and greatly appreciated. The Harrelson Center on 20 North 4th 910-343-8212, http://harrelsoncenter.org, says they will take household items. Or, try One Christian Network (910) 632-0039, www.onechristiannetwork.com and local supply distribution locations at the following churches:

Scotts Hill Baptist 185 Scotts Hill Loop Road 910-686-9885, www.scottshill.org, Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church 2929 Princess Place or email cedric@supporttheport.com, and Dreams Center at 11th and Princess, email eadger@hotmail.com.

There must have been an abundance of clothing donations to Hurricane Florence affiliated organizations because most are now posting no more clothing needed.

Good places to donate clothing are Vintage Values stores benefiting domestic violence victims, www.domesticviolence-wilm.org/vintage-values, and Goodwill drop off sites at 5662 Carolina Beach Road, 910-794-9650, 1745 Sir Tyler Drive, 910- 679-4446, and 709 South Kerr Avenue, 910-791-2764, plus the Salvation Army and more.

Interior designer, Hooper Patterson and real estate consultant, Livian Jones have formed a group called House of Provision Furniture Finders to help hurricane victims re-furnish their homes. They are collecting mattresses, bed frames, furniture, lamps, decorative accessories, rugs and kitchen wares at the former Rose’s Department Store, 6832-4 Market Street in Ogden. Open on weekends for drop off. Their facebook page gives updates

If needing donations of furniture to be picked up, go to the Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity Restore website and fill out a donation pick up form.
