Q. Do the managers employees by NHRMC in Wilmington get bonuses for money they saved by not allowing wage personnel to work overtime?
A. For this answer, we turned to Julian March, media relations coordinator for New Hanover Regional Medical Center:
Managers do not receive bonuses for any of the work or results they produce. Our managers are tasked with the responsibility of making sure they manage the organization’s resources, including personnel expenses, in a fiscally responsible manner. The judicious use of overtime is but one of our areas of focus to help ensure we are managing the overall cost of healthcare to the best of our ability.
