According to Katie Ryan, the Wrightsville recreation program supervisor, there are no current plans to create more bicycle lanes at Wrightsville Beach.
Existing lanes can be found on Salisbury Street, while Pelican Drive has “sharrow” pavement markings. Sharrow markings indicate a wider shoulder where bikes can go.
North Lumina Avenue has wider shoulders to accommodate bikes as well.
