They are not allowed, according to the city of Wilmington.
“We treat our trails and greenways as linear parks. With the exception of security patrols by (police) on the Cross-City Trail with their gator and the use of work-mans for maintenance by city workers, there should not be any motorized vehicles on the Riverwalk,” city spokeswoman Malissa Talbert said in an email.
“If anyone has a concern (or) question, they should contact the city and we’ll be happy to talk to them,” she said.
