Is there a place to watch ships come into the Port of Wilmington?

The North Carolina Ports Authority offers no public viewing access for ships docking on the Port of Wimington.

But several spots allow a view of ships coming to port. “One of those is River Road Park on River Road in Wilmington,” said an official with the N.C. Ports. “People can also see the ships entering the Cape Fear River from the ocean at Waterfront Park in Southport.”

You can access the Port of Wilmington’s shipping schedule here. You can also look at this live tracker for ships docking into port.
