Are they still going to build retail and homes on the Trask land near Scotts Hill?

According to a statement from Trask Land Company issued Monday, “Blake Farm is temporarily delayed pending the resolution of some long-term strategic planning issues, but we are optimistic that they can be resolved in the near future.”

According to Pender County Planning Director Kyle Brewer, these long-term issues are internal to the company and do not involve the county, which approved the project in the spring of 2014. He also said he believed that some further work on the project was likely to get underway in November.
