What are the plans for the Wilmington mobile home parks being cleared out?

Hunter Ingram
StarNews

The StarNews repeatedly reached out to the owners of both the Hidden Lakes and Wheel Estates Mobile Home Parks for comment on the status of the communities and future plans for the sites, but did not receive calls in return.

Greensboro-based 347 MCO LLC, the new owner of the Hidden Lakes 32-acre property, also did not return multiple requests for comment, though a mixed-use development is said to be eyed for the land.

The closure of the three lots represent the latest in dwindling options for mobile home parks and affordable housing in Wilmington. Read our story about what this means for the community, here.
