Is WSFX-TV still on the air? Also, ION TV seems to have disappeared.

Hunter Ingram

WSFX-TV, which airs Fox Wilmington news, is still on the air. Over the air, WSFX can be found, virtually, on channel 26.

As for ION TV, which is operated out of Jacksonville’s WPXU-TV, is still on the air, but only a select number of Wilmington viewers may be able to pick it up over the air. According to ION TV’s website, as of Aug. 1, 2016, WPXU-TV is now a 100 percent satellite of television station WEPX-TV out of Greenville, North Carolina.
