Are there alligators in Alligator Creek, under the bridge on 74/76 between Wilmington and Leland?

There are alligators in Alligator Creek, according to Carson Wood with Coastal Plain Conservation Group. Wood said nearly all coastal creeks around Wilmington can support alligators. Along with coastal creeks, Wood said alligators can sometimes be spotted around the Cape Fear River and even on local beaches, where they will occasionally surface.
