Malissa Talbert, a spokeswoman for the city of Wilmington, said there is no parking south of Husk, as stated on the “No Parking” sign, as a safety precaution for the pedestrian crossing at Dock and Front streets.

“There are two smaller motorcycle parking spaces that are metered and striped on the other side of the sign,” she said. “This may be where the confusion is.”

Talbert said city staff would be getting the two meters marked with stickers stating they are for motorcycle parking only, to provide more clarification.
