Senior resident Superior Court Judge Richard Brown was elected to serve Scotland and Hoke counties for the 16A Judicial District.
NC Superior Court judges rotate among the districts within their division every six months, which would explain Brown overseeing cases in Brunswick County. Scotland and Hoke counties are in Division 4, which also includes Brunswick, Columbus, Lee, Harnett, Anson, Richmond, Moore, Cumberland, Robeson and Bladen counties.
