Are there plans in Pender County to provide sewer service to southern Hampstead, specifically Washington Acres and Deerfield?

Bill Walsh
StarNews

A number of private companies are providing sewer service in coastal Pender County, according to Planning Director Kyle Breuer, but no public or county-owned services.

It is likely, Breuer suggested, that most of those private providers would welcome the opportunity to talk with homeowner representatives to ascertain whether or not venturing into residential neighborhoods is feasible – that is, if they can recover costs through hook-up and usage fees.
