“WILM-TV 10 is not going anywhere,” promised Jonathan Nelson, an editor at WILM.
The station will be independent in the new year, bringing its audience more entertainment, WRAL news and sports programming.
“In 2017 there are no limits on the number of sport programs we can air as an independent station,” Nelson wrote in an email. The station is adding more ACC basketball and football and about 20 other NCAA conferences from American Sports Network. “In first quarter alone, we’re increasing our sports programming by over 250 percent,” Nelson wrote.
Audience favorites like Rachael Ray, Dr. Phil, The Doctors, Big Bang Theory, Blue Bloods, Elementary, Person of Interest, The Middle, Two Broke Girls, Mike & Molly and others will remain.
“Weekend favorites like This Old House, Jack Hanna, NC Spin, Today’s Homeowner and many more all stay right here on WILM-TV 10,” Nelson added. The station will also pick up new shows such as Celebrity Name Game, Celebrity Page, Leverage, Pawn Stars, Access Hollywood and Access Hollywood Live.
“We are committed to our community, our news products and providing you with the best television entertainment available in our market,” Nelson wrote.
